A lot has changed since I started photography with my 35mm cameras as a hobby in high school and college, but my obsession to capture the perfect shot has not.  Back then I’d have to take my roll of film to have it developed and wait patiently to see what to see the results.  Now I pretty much know what the shot will look like from the LCD display in my camera’s viewfinder before I even press the shutter.  I think it’s time that the photo business model change as well. 

I price all photo sessions and events using hourly rates.  Please realize that when we leave the session my work is just beginning.  I’ll still spend a significant amount of time culling and touching up photos before you ever see them.  My rates take into account both the photo session or event and the post processing work required.
